Our Partnerships

Beloved Community Incubator’s regional and national partnerships help us build community power at a local level.

We are a member of The New Economy Coalition (NEC), a network of nonprofits, businesses, community organizations, and coalitions that work to shift our economic system from capitalism to a solidarity economy

We’re also proud members of The US Federation of Worker Cooperatives (USFWC), a grassroots member organization for worker-owned and controlled businesses. The USFWC includes worker cooperatives, democratic workplaces, cooperative developers, and allied organizations. USFWC provides support for worker cooperatives, including trainings, lobbying, and worker benefits. Our partnership with USFWC means that we can offer free trainings and access to worker benefits to BCI Network members.

As a member of Seed Commons, we run the DC Solidarity Economy Loan Fund (DC SELF). Seed Commons is a cooperative network that runs 39 solidarity loan funds across the US, in Canada, and South America. Our partnership with Seed Commons means that we can bring the power of big finance to fund local projects that help build a strong and resilient solidarity economy.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, BCI has worked to support local mutual aid projects and provide infrastructure support for local mutual aid groups and solidarity economy projects, including partnering with  local mutual aid groups who are members of the BCI Network.
